Here's the dirt on Live Plant Shipping Insurance:
There is much that falls out of our control when shipping live plants across the country and mail carriers do not provide guarantees for perishables shipped via standard/ground rates. This insurance protection covers your order for full refund/credit options or a replacement (pending availability) should your plants arrived damaged due to extreme temperatures or carrier delays. No third-party rigmarole, no lengthy claims process.
WHEN SHOULD I CONSIDER SEASONAL INSURANCE?:
We encourage any live plant order to include Shipping Insurance to help protect against damage caused by carrier delays, lost packages, extreme temperatures etc.
INSURANCE COVERS YOUR ENTIRE ORDER:
Shipping insurance will cover ALL plants associated in a single order. Simply add 1 to your cart and your order is covered!
HOW DOES IT WORK?:
Should you need to submit a claim, we make it headache-free. All you have to do is send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with a photo of the damage along with your order number WITHIN ONE WEEK OF DELIVERY. Our team will assess the damage and move forward with your claim accordingly. We’ll provide you with a refund, credit, or replacement options (if stock is available). Easy peasy!
WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON'T GET INSURANCE AND I HAVE TEMPERATURE DAMAGE?:
In short, we will never leave you with a dead or damaged plant but should you choose to forego insurance when shipping live plants, you’ll likely have some fees associated with replacements. If your plant arrives damaged due to extreme temperatures or carrier delays a replacement or store credit option will be available but new postage charges &/or additional fees (25% plant replacement charge) may apply.
