Nicknamed “Pigskin” for its thick, leathery leaves, Philodendron 'Rugosum' has matte green foliage with a deeply wrinkled, almost quilted surface that’s often compared to the feel of a football. Native to Ecuador, it’s a slow-growing climber that uses trees for support in the wild, so giving it a pole or something to climb indoors will help it mature and produce larger leaves.

  • Light: Bright, indirect light; tolerates medium light
  • Water: Allow the top half of the soil to dry between waterings

    Excellent first purchase!

Iam very happy with this Rugosum! It arrived with healthy roots, moist sphagnum moss, active growth, and beautiful textured leaves. The plant was in excellent condition with virtually no blemishes and even had a long runner already developing. For the price, the quality exceeded my expectations. This was my first order from BWH, and I couldn't be happier with this plant!
