Calathea 'Freddie', or Prayer Plant, is known for its long, waxy, striped leaves. It prefers bright, indirect sunlight and moist soil and does best in a high humidity environment. Its leaves curl up at night and unfurl in the morning, making it a fun plant to watch. It has excellent air-purifying qualities and makes a great addition to any home.

    Went on a Calathea binge

    Dawn the Calathea

    Every Calathea I buy starts off fine, but after a couple weeks they get crispy edges on the leaves. This one is no different, so clearly it’s something I’m doing wrong. Thought I’d give Calathea another chance because this one was so pretty & the leaves feel like velvet. I cut the crispy edges off so she’s still doing ok.
