4" Variegated Philodendron Caramel Marble 'Heatwave'
Variegated Philodendron Caramel Marble 'Heatwave' is a rare philodendron known for marbled swirls of warm caramel, cream, and soft green across each leaf, with new growth emerging in fiery red and orange tones before softening as it matures. Often referred to as "Fire Tiger" elsewhere, 'Heatwave' is our selected expression of the Caramel Marble lineage, grown in our Florida greenhouse. Native to tropical South America, this is a standout variety with consistently dynamic coloration from leaf to leaf.
- Light: Bright, indirect light to maintain strong variegation
- Water: Water when the top inch of soil feels dry; avoid soggy conditions
- Pet-Friendly: No, toxic to pets
- Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity
- Care Level: Moderate; consistent care keeps variegation vibrant
Note: Images are a general representation of size and color. Variegation will vary.

I wish I took a picture of how it was packaged. It doesn’t make any sense to put a rubber band over the leafs. That will damage the plant. I’m surprised my plant barely made it.

My first order from BWH plant co was beyond impressive. Because UPS does not deliver on weekends, my plants spent 7 days in a box. Despite this, my plants came near perfect! Of course a few leaves were damaged and the soil was bone dry, but the plants themselves are so lush and robust that picking off the one or two damaged leaves does no harm to the plant’s health or aesthetics. I attribute this to their awesome packaging. You can really tell they put so much care and intention into your plant. Best packaging I’ve ever seen!
