Farfugium 'Firefly' is a compact, speckled cultivar of Farfugium japonicum, also known as Leopard Plant or Tractor Seat Plant. This version features deep green, slightly ruffled leaves dotted with creamy-yellow speckles, giving it a firefly-lit effect.

Outdoors, it's hardy in USDA Zones 7–10 and prefers partial shade. Indoors, it does well with bright, indirect light and consistent moisture. Higher humidity helps it shine, making it a great pick for bathrooms, kitchens, or grouped with other plants.

  • Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light; can tolerate some shade
  • Water: Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy; water when the top inch feels dry
  • Pet-Friendly: Yes, safe for pets
  • Humidity: Prefers high humidity but adapts to average indoor levels
  • Care Level: Easy; suitable for beginners
