Philodendron 'Verrucosum' is a velvet-leaf climbing species native to Central and South America. The leaves start out heart-shaped with a soft texture and develop deep green color with lighter veins as they mature. One of the standout features is its fuzzy, bristly petioles. With support, it can climb 4–6 feet or more indoors. Grown in our FL greenhouse.

  • Light: Bright, indirect light is best; too much direct sun can fade or damage leaves
  • Water: Water when the top inch of soil is dry; avoid soggy conditions
  • Pet-Friendly: No, toxic to pets
  • Humidity: Prefers high humidity; aim for 60% or more for best results
  • Care Level: Moderate to advanced; benefits from stable humidity and regular care

    Such a cute little plant

This little verricosum has the cutest little leaves. Can't wait for them to get larger and for this to really take off. It came a little worse for wear, we had a heat wave here in California.

    Verrucosum

This is #2 that I ordered ...this one shipped better than the first one. My first one never recovered from shipping and is a gonner. This one seems healthy. There must be different cultivars of this plant as the bwh one looks totally different than one I bought from another company. The bwh one does not have that beautiful "glow" along the veins and color pop, that made me fall in love with verrucosum.

For me is a slower grower but I could give it more light, pretty and filled with potential
