The Begonia Rex 'Madagascar' is a standout variety renowned for its vibrant and colorful foliage, making it a favorite among houseplant enthusiasts. This variety of Begonia features large, velvety leaves intricately patterned with a vivid mix of green, red, bronze, and silver hues, often highlighted by contrasting marbling or edging. Originating from the subtropical and tropical regions of the East, 'Madagascar' has been specially selected for its ornamental qualities. It forms a compact clump, expanding more in width than height, making it ideal for spaces with limited floor area. While it does produce discreet flowers, the main attraction remains its spectacular leaves. Cultivated with care in our Apopka, FL nursery, the Begonia 'Madagascar' thrives in bright indirect light, requires regular watering to keep the soil evenly moist but not soggy, and benefits from a well-draining potting mix.

    Order 2 both came in horrible condition. But with that being said BWH has great customer service. And took care of the issue ASAP

    Five ⭐️ 4” Begonia 'Madagascar'

    I'm thrilled with my Begonia 'Madagascar' from BWH! It arrived in good condition, packed well and healthy. I pruned several sad looking leaves and it bounced back in no time. Love this plant's vibrant and colorful foliage, featuring large, velvety leaves with a mix of green, red, bronze, and silver hues.

    She’s still trying to get her footing.

    The extreme heat from the travel could have created some problems during shipping. So I don’t believe BWH is to blame. Hoping that she perks up over time.

    I think he hates me

    He’s only been here a week and a half and is starting to get crumbly idk what to do 😭 I’ve tried everything. Otherwise when he arrived he was perfect
