Variegated Alocasia 'Frydek' is a highly sought-after Alocasia cultivar with arrow-shaped, velvety green leaves splashed with irregular patches of creamy white. As the houseplant matures, its foliage becomes more dramatic and defined. This species is a self-heading grower that stays relatively compact, typically reaching 2–3 feet tall indoors. Native to Southeast Asia, grown in our FL greenhouse.

  • Light: Bright, indirect light is best; direct sunlight can scorch variegated leaves
  • Water: Keep soil evenly moist but not soggy; allow the top inch to dry slightly between waterings
  • Pet-Friendly: No, toxic to pets
  • Humidity: Requires high humidity (60%+); use a humidifier or mist regularly
  • Care Level: Moderate to advanced; benefits from stable humidity and warm temps

Note: Images are a general representation of size and color. Variegation will vary.

Heads up: Alocasias are all about the long game! It's totally normal for a few leaves to yellow or drop after shipping—this kind of leaf loss is expected and isn't covered under our plant guarantee. With a little time and TLC, your Alocasia will adjust and bounce back beautifully.

    Beautiful leaves

Shipping was amazing, everything was packed so well. One leaf did arrive yellowed, but the rest are beautiful and one new one is already coming in.
