Variegated Alocasia 'Macrorrhiza' features large, glossy leaves with creamy white variegation that contrasts against deep green. This fast-growing, self-heading variety can reach impressive heights in ideal conditions. Native to Southeast Asia and grown in our Florida greenhouse, it's a bold addition to any collection.

  • Light: Bright, indirect light is best; can tolerate some direct morning sun
  • Water: Water when the top inch of soil feels dry; do not allow soil to stay soggy
  • Pet-Friendly: No, toxic to pets
  • Humidity: Prefers high humidity; occasional misting or a nearby humidifier is helpful
  • Care Level: Moderate; sensitive to overwatering and low humidity

    Very nice plant!!

    Plant was much bigger than I was expecting. Happy with the variegation and was packaged very nice. There was a slight delay from ordering to it being shipped but they reached out first and let me know. First time ordering from BWH and will definitely order again.

    Shipping was great

    I love BWH and have bought multiple plants at the store front while on vacation and first time threw the mail. One plant was perfect and the packing was amazing - I have to give this only 4 starts because the Variegation was not great otherwise very pleased.

    Nice plant

    This alocasia is definitely a keeper. I wanted to wait a few weeks to see how she would hold up and I have to say, she’s met all of my expectations. She’s definitely heartier than my variegated frydek while looking similar. I would definitely buy this one again.
